April 07 Spring chickWe added a couple photos. We painted my belly like a jack'o'lantern when I was 7 months' pregnant with Blake. So of course Joe had to create another work of art on my belly. Blake had lots of fun and ended up with whiskers and a couple tatoos as well(including a heart on his bicep with Mom written inside). April 05 Appointment updateYesterday was our ultrasound and appointment. Baby gained about 1 lb, 1 oz in the last 3 weeks. We asked the doctor to review the ultrasound with us and the stomach and a portion of the liver is above the diaphragm. It's disappointing to know that there is liver up there because it indicates a more severe defect, but the doctor says he's seen cases where there's a lot more liver up. We talked a little about when he'd induce and he thinks probably the third week of May. The date won't be set until he knows everything is in place with the other doctors.
We also visited the NICU. It was good to see where we'll be because when the time comes, things will probably be overwhelming. |
